WORSHIP

The Worship Ministry includes Choirs, Ensembles, Praiz Band, Drama, Media Tech, and Sound Tech.

Choirs and Music Groups

The Worship Choir leads in worship each Sunday morning and in various other services and special events throughout the year. If you enjoy praising God and having fun with people join us for rehearsal.

       Rehearsals are on Sunday at 4:30 pm

Testify is the name of our Praise Team. This group leads in the early Sunday morning worship service and at other times during the year. Testify is limited to regular Worship Choir participants and are selected or join by audition.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 5:00 pm

Tapestry is our Women's Ensemble and Higher Purpose is our Men's Ensemble. These groups lead in worship at various times during the year and at special events. Participants join by invitation of the Music Minister or by audition.

The Praiz Band accompanies the worship services and music groups at various times during the year and members join by invitation of the Music Minister or by audition.

Rehearsals are on Thursday at 7:00 pm

The Student Praise meets during the school year. Led by Meggin Dickerson, they sing in services throughout the year and enjoy concerts and trips whenever possible.

Rehearsal are at 6:00 pm on Wednesday

The Children's Choir for grades 1-5 meets during the school year, usually between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Led by Sharon Cox this choir sings in worship services, presents musicals, and enjoys fun trips throughout the year.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.

The Preschool Choir for 4's and 5's meets during the school year, usually between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Led by Karen Reeves this choir sings in worship services and enjoys fun activities and learning about God through music.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.

Drama Ministry

Although we do not have a formal drama ministry at this time, our church enjoys drama in worship and opportunities are available for those who enjoy this ministry.

Media Tech

Each week we video tape our services to be shown on Demopolis Cable channel 39. We also project the lyrics of our hymns and praise songs on two house screens and a choir confidence monitor. Technicians are needed to control the video camera and the projectors.

Sound Tech

Every time we come together to worship we need sound reinforcement. That's the job of our technicians. A 32 channel mixing board provides the sound for our services, video tape, live radio broadcast and recorded CD's for later distribution.
